    Why do Tuesdays feel awkward?

  • Numbers and me

I don’t like prime numbers. Being divided by 2 is a huge thing for me. I find odd numbers to be, well odd. On top of it, a prime number cannot be divided by any other number, except for 1 and itself.  For some reason, I find this very irritating. Reminds me of the lands nothing grows on.

On the other hand, I love 6. It is perfect (literally :) . 6 is a perfect number, because 1, 2, and 3 are its proper positive divisors and 1 + 2 + 3 = 6. The next perfect number is 28, which is a part of my collage student ID.

I am not sure how I feel about square numbers. Some of them are odd, some are even. I guess they are OK except for 49. I don’t like 49.

  • If you could choose a sentence to be inscribed on your tombstone, what would it be and why?

I found it: “Free your mind and your ass will follow.” This is a funky song I listened to a while ago. It would make the people who see my tombstone smile. Maybe some people who don’t get my sense of humor – I come accross as sarcastic at times – would not.

For a long time, I could not decide between being cremated and buried. I think I wanna be buried although I reserve the right to change my mind in the future. If I told my mom that I wanted to be cremated, she would have a heart attack I guess. It is so against the culture I grew up in.

  • I forgot to mention

that I watched Chick Corea and Elektric Band live at the Blue Note last week! Dave Weckl was wicked awesome at drums. I haven’t seen a better drummer in my life. His solos were amazing. When they finished playing, he did not look tired a bit All the musicians in the band were really good. As a treat, Al Di Meola played “Spain” with them.

This is why I  New York.

  • If you had to name the one thing that most frightens you about growing old, what would it be?

It has been a long time since I wrote the last time. I was pretty busy before Christmas, then I got sick. After I got better, I did not want to spend too much time indoors so I ended up not writing for a long time.

Anyway, this is the first post of 2008 and it is a reply to the featured question – my favorite Xanga feature.

I am not scared of getting old. I like being with older people. I am aware of the fact that someday I am gonna get older and I give older people the respect they deserve. This is not to say that I am not concerned about physical aspects of getting old, my body weirding out… I am most concerned about aging gracefully. First of all, I want to be healthy. I want to look in the mirror and love the way I look, thinking I gained wisdom along with the wrinkles.

The idea of getting old reminds me what things are actually important in life, that we don’t have much time to waste. It inspires me to do things and live my life more productively. I feel very excited about the new year and the new possibilities. I have a feeling that 2008 will be a good year

  • Where is home?

For people who are not sure where home is anymore, here are parts of one of my favorite songs, Stereophonics – Maybe Tomorrow.

    It wastes time
    And I’d rather be high
    Think I’ll walk me outside
    And buy a rainbow smile
    But be free
    They’re all free
    ….
    So maybe tomorrow
    I’ll find my way home

  • What is your favorite book and why?

Aldous Huxley’s Island, because it makes me remember that it is important to live in the moment and it reminds me of a close friend.
